1. Competition Details

A. RULES
-
- The competition shall be conducted in accordance with the regulations set forth by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA).
- Technical problems shall be resolved according to the “FIBA Official Basketball Rules 2022”.
- In case of dispute in the interpretation of the rules, the English text shall prevail.

- ALL players must bring their Identification Card (ID) for Thais or Passport for Foreigners to every game for Identification purposes.
- The tournament is not open to players who are not registered.
- Players must adhere to the age limit based on respective divisions.
- Each player is required to participate in ONE team only in his/her own age division.
- Players may compete in their own age division and/or league (U16 Boys or U18 Boys divisions) and are also eligible to participate in one additional, older age division, provided they compete under the same team name and within the same league (U16 BOYS or U18 BOYS divisions).

- All players/officials are responsible for ensuring that their team players and coaching staff meet all the eligibility requirements.
- If a player is found to be ineligible before the start of the tournament, the said player will be barred from the tournament and the rest of the team may continue.
- If a player is found to be ineligible after the tournament has started, the said player will be barred from the tournament, and the team will be disqualified from all remaining games including games that had been played will be discarded.

- Each player is required to participate in one team only in his/her own age division.
- Each team consists of a maximum of 16 persons (1 team manager, 1 coach, 1 assistant coach, 1 official, 12 players).

- There must be 16 seats available in each team bench area for the head coach, the substitutes, the excluded players and the accompanied delegation members including the assistant coaches.
- Any other persons shall be located at least 2m behind the team bench.

- All referees must be approved by BSAT and must have a valid FIBA or BSAT license.

- The organizers must receive the entry forms and registration no later than APRIL 15, 2026.

- The technical chairman selected by The Parent Group of Thai Youth Basketball Players will be responsible for the Technical Organization of the tournament.

- Teams must confirm with table officials on the final 12 players playing for the upcoming match latest 1 hour before Game Time. Failure to do so the table official will fill in the 12-player lineup based on the last played match of that team.
- In every game, the final team’s 12-player lineup can be switched around depending on the team’s concerns.
- The tournament will be played in a round-robin system (Each team must play all the teams in the division).
- Playing time, tied score and overtime:
- The game shall consist of 4 quarters of 10 minutes each.
- There shall be the intervals of play of 2 minutes between the first and second quarter (first half), between the third and the fourth quarter (second half) and before each overtime.
- There shall be a half-time interval of play of 5 minutes.
- If the score is tied at the end of the fourth quarter, the game should continue with as many overtimes of 5 minutes duration each to break the tie.
- Pool Play Tie Breaker (For the teams that are tied in the standing)

- In any situation where two (2) teams are tied, head-to-head competition between the teams will determine the winner. Knock out Phase.
- If more than two (2) teams tie, a point differential tie-breaker will be applied. The point differentials of the teams involved in the tie are totaled. Teams are then ranked according to the sum of the point differential – with the highest number placing first, and the second highest placing second. (The maximum that you can beat a team and still gain an advantage is 15 points.) Three 3 Way Points System.
- If two (2) teams are still tied after the application of the formula, go back to (a.) to break the tie.
- If more than two (2) teams are still tied after the application of the added, and the results are recalculated.
- The score of all forfeits shall be 20 pts.
- The championship will be determined by the teams with the most total wins.
J. UNIFORMS

- Players’ jerseys must have numbers on both the front and back. Numbers can be from 0 to 99. The minimum size of numbers shall be 9 cm on the front and 20 cm on the back.

- The second team named in the schedule (guest/visiting team) shall wear dark colored jerseys.
- The player shall be penalized by a two (2) technical foul shot for each illegal jersey, to be assessed at the time the player with the illegal jersey enters the game.
- Socks of the same dominant color of all team members. Socks need to be visible.
- Dress Code: Game Time
- All non-uniformed persons on the bench shall wear slacks, shirts with collars and sleeves, and minimum covered-toe shoes or dress shoes.
- Shorts, jeans, sweat pants, athletic wear, tee shirts, hats, and open-toed shoes are not permitted. The dress code applies to female bench personnel as well.
- The team bench follower who violates the dress code will be penalized by a two (2) shot technical foul for each follower’s violation.
2. Equipment
The official game ball to be used in the tournament are Molten B6G4550 (U12s Boys and Girls) and B7G4550 (U14s Boys, U16s Boys and U18s Boys) basketballs.
3. Opening Ceremony and Closing Ceremony
- All participating teams shall dress uniformly during the Closing Ceremony.
- The “Bench Decorum” rule (f) DOES NOT apply to the Closing Ceremony.
- Only roster members may participate in the Closing Ceremony.
- At least 8 players per team need to attend the Closing ceremony.
4. Mini-League Concept

5. Tournament Registration
Upon confirmation of participation from the team, the organizer requires a payment not later
than APRIL 15, 2026 to secure your spot in the tournament.
Payment slips must be submitted to our email address for clarification and confirmation of
the spots.
6. Ejections
- Any players recorded on the official score sheet as ejected for fighting or unsportsmanlike by the officials will be prohibited from playing in the next scheduled game.
- Players/Coaches involved in any inappropriate behaviors/fighting or indecent approaches
or behaviors to the officials and players/coaches will be meted as follows:
- 1st Offense, 1 game suspension
- 2nd Offense, will be barred from the game and the duration of the tournament.
- Team officials, coaches and players must adhere to the respect and strict compliance of the IYBC 2026 rules and regulations.
7. Awards & Souvenirs

- A Certificate of Achievement will be offered to the champions, the 1st and 2nd finalists.
- A Certificate of Participation will be offered to all participating players.
- All players will receive an IYBC 2026 T-shirt.

8. Miscellaneous
- Transportation and accommodation costs are borne by the respective teams.
- Local transport and hotel booking can be arranged by the organizer at an additional cost.
