RULES & REGULATIONS
1. Competition Details
- Name of Tournament: INTERNATIONAL YOUTH BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS 2026 (IYBC 2026)
- Venue: Ruamrudee International School (Minburi Campus)
- Date: July 24 – 28, 2026
- Age Division:

- 12 and under (Born in 2013 or later) Boys
- 14 and under (Born in 2011 or later) Boys & Girls
- 16 and under (Born in 2009 or later) Boys & Girls
- 18 and under (Born in 2007 or later) Boys & Girls
- Non-refundable Registration fee: USD 950 / team / age division (with no deduction of any bank charges)
- Due date: APRIL 15, 2026
A. RULES
- The competition shall be conducted in accordance with the regulations set forth by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA).
- Technical problems shall be resolved according to the “FIBA Official Basketball Rules 2022”.
- In case of dispute in the interpretation of the rules, the English text shall prevail.
B. ELIGIBILITY
- ALL players must bring their Identification Card (ID) for Thais or Passport for Foreigners to every game.
- The tournament is not open to players who are not registered.
- Players must adhere to the age limit based on respective divisions.
- Each player is required to participate in ONE team only in his/her own age division.
- Players may compete in their own age division and are eligible to participate in one additional older age division provided they compete under the same team name and league.
C. PLAYER / TEAM DISQUALIFICATION
- All players and officials are responsible for ensuring eligibility.
- If found ineligible before the tournament, the player will be barred and the team may continue.
- If found ineligible after the tournament starts, the team will be disqualified and all games discarded.
D. PARTICIPATION
- Each player may participate in only one team.
- Each team consists of a maximum of 16 persons (team officials and 12 players).
E. TEAM BENCH
- Sixteen seats must be available at each team bench.
- Other persons must remain at least 2 meters behind the bench.
F. REFEREES
- All referees must be approved by BSAT and hold a valid FIBA or BSAT license.
G. ENTRIES
- Entries and registration must be received by APRIL 15, 2026.
- Entries may be submitted by email or hand.

H. TECHNICAL ORGANIZATION
- The technical chairman will oversee the technical organization of the tournament.
I. SYSTEM OF COMPETITION
- Teams must confirm the final 12-player lineup at least 1 hour before game time.
- The tournament will follow a round-robin format.
- Playing Time and Overtime:

- 4 quarters of 10 minutes.
- 2-minute intervals and 5-minute half-time.
- Overtime periods of 5 minutes if tied.
- Pool Play Tie Breaker:
-
- Head-to-head result.
- Point differential (maximum advantage 15 points).
- Reapply head-to-head if still tied.
- Recalculate if more than two teams remain tied.
- Forfeit score is 20 points.
- Championship determined by total wins.
K. UNIFORMS
- Jerseys must display numbers on front and back (0–99).
- Two sets of jerseys required (light and dark).
- Socks must be uniform in dominant color.
2. Equipment
Official game balls: Molten B6G4550 (U12) and B7G4550 (U14–U18).
3. Opening & Closing Ceremony
- Teams must dress uniformly.
- At least 8 players per team must attend.
4. Mini-League Concept
- DIAMOND League: Highly competitive teams.
- PLATINUM League: Developing or new teams.
5. Tournament Registration
Payment must be completed by APRIL 15, 2026 to secure participation.
6. Ejections
- Ejected players are suspended for the next game.
- Repeated offenses result in tournament expulsion.
7. Awards & Souvenirs
- Trophies, medals, certificates and IYBC 2026 T-shirts will be awarded.
8. Miscellaneous
- Transportation and accommodation costs are borne by teams.
